Air Quality and Duct Cleaning

Air Quality andDuct Cleaning

During normal operation of your home or office cooling system, dust, dirt, pollen, germs, mold spores, pet dander, hair, and other pollutants can get drawn into your air ducts. About 95% of these particles can pass through a normal air filter and pass back into the indoor air you breathe. It can also accumulate on the fan blades, grills, and other parts of your system, reducing airflow by up to 40%.

These irritants can cause allergic reactions in many people and lead to serious health problems for people with asthma, COPD, and other respiratory ailments. They can also lead to higher cooling costs and decreased comfort. Regular duct cleaning services can dramatically reduce the many effects of unwanted pollutants in your home and should be performed every three years if you use normal air filters in your air conditioning and heating system.

Seal duct leaks to reduce pollutants

Every year, Tampa Bay homeowners lose hundreds of dollars thanks to leaking air conditioning ducts. In fact, seven out of ten homes have leaking ducts and lose about 20% of the air that moves through them. That can add up to a lot of wasted energy and money. It can also lead to poor indoor air quality. At ExcelsiAir, we can identify leaks and seal air ducts that exist in your system. It’s just one more way we deliver cooler, cleaner indoor air while saving our customers money.
